New Design Museum Shop: A few of our favourite things
Last week we had the pleasure of visiting the new Design Museum shop on Kensington High Street and it gave us a serious case of the Veruca Salts.
The shop features over 100 brands with a range of design-led products including books, homewares, toys and stationery (including some cards by us!)
Naturally, it's a beautifully designed space with a rainbow of products displayed according to colour and as you look around the store, it's like uncovering an Aladdin's cave of well-designed booty. (Have these words ever been combined in a sentence before?) You could easily spend over an hour browsing/coveting/buying in this store (as we did) and here are a few of our favourite things:
We were drawn to the neon yellow like the moth to a flame.
A very cool collection of London gifts, which could make a tourist out of any Londoner.
We’re a tiny bit jealous of any kiddlywink that has toys from this store – we particularly loved these little balloon powered boats and the multi-coloured rattles.
And finally this is the blue corner. We loved the combination of the different textures and patterns on these objects – the inky plates, the paint splattered ceramics and the marbled greetings cards (by us!)
If you’re in London the new store is most definitely worth a visit, but be warned, you too will probably want it all!
